1970 GMC Jimmy

1970 GMC Jimmy. 4 speed manual transmission. 355 Chevy 4 bolt with all new internals-mild cam-new edelbrock intake and carb-heads rebuilt-all new valve springs and seals-rocker arms-lifters-double roller timing chain-Ramhorn exhaust manifolds-new distributor-plugs & wires. removable top. AC. 4X4. autometer gauges. ew fan shroud (reproduction). new flex fan. new clutch assembly and flywheel. new clutch linkage assembly and springs. chrome oil pan-valve covers and timing cover. entire new brake system-booster-master cylinder and lines-proportioning valve-emergency brake cables. the undercarriage looks really really nice. new fuel tank andlines. new four core radiator with electric fans. new 2 1/2" stainless exhaust with flowmaster mufflers-chrome 3" slant cut tips after rear wheels. new 16" wheels and brand new equivelant to 40" tires. 8" lift kit. all new rancho shocks. new body mounts-transmission mounts-engine mounts red urethant. front and rear Dana differentials bebuilt with all new bearings carrier-axels. Muncie SM 465 rebuilt transmission. NP 205 rebuilt transfer case. all new fluids-seals-belts-hoses. new front & rear drive shafts with all new U joints and hardware. vintage AC needs hooking up and might new a couple parts. new painless wiring harness installed. all new light-tail lights-side markers. custom piano black dash bezel with autometer gauges. chrome steering column-later model chevy truck steering wheel. chrome shifters trans and transfer case. complete new black carpet which needs to be installed. all new weather stripping. new windshield. hardtop in excellent shapt but in a couple of places needs repair and all glass is excellent. new front/rear bumpers. new windshield wiper arms-linkage-blades. front bucket seats in good shapre and need to be dyed black. rear bench seat needs recovering. consold is there and needs repainting. new core support and all accessories. new fender wells. doors need assembled but have all glass-weather stripping-door handles. lots of remaining parts in plastic bins inside of truck and most of the restoration has been done or started however there is a lot more to do from painting and really just labor stuff to put truck together with parts that need to be put back on truck. the foundation of this truck is amazing and solid and with a little time and TLC this jimmy will turn heads and be a wonderful and fun weekend toy or everyday driver! custom exhaust that sounds awesome! Restoration was started on this Jimmy and was done properly and coming along very well when the gentleman's health turned bad and he recognized he wouldn't be able to finish the project. So my friend & myself bought it intending to finish the project ourselves only to find out we both are way to busy to finish it. It is up for sale for someone who has the time-the know how-and the desire to finish this Jimmy and to make it into an amazing truck! we believe that most all of the parts are present to complete the truck but know some of the AC parts are missing but very easy to find/replace. believe there is a new carpet kit that comes with the truck.  The body is in great shape. the paint that was started looks really nice with the exception of some scratches that have happened with all of its sitting and seeing that the doors and front quarters need painting one might assume they should just repaint the whole truck. The engine has been rebuilt-balanced-blue printed and runs great. the truck is running and driveable with the undercarriage having been rebuilt and looks great. its pretty much the cosmetics that needs to be redone and finished. the hard top is in overall very good condition with good glass and seals/moldings but if you look in the pics at the rear window and passenger side you will see some fiberglass that has chipped off needing repair which is easy to do but know this top is a solid top in very good condition. The GMC jimmy's are in higher demand than the Chevrolet Blazers because they made fewer Jimmy's so once this truck is completed. it will be worth a lot of money although I assume the buyer will finish this project and want to keep it for themselves as these trucks can be daily drivers or weekend warriors and these trucks have become extremely desirable in the past few years!
