1954 Jaguar XK for sale

The basics 1954 Jaguar XK 120 SE roadster project car.
Stored outside in Northern California for over 30 years.
Pretty rusty in certain areas but certainly restorable.
C-Type head with SU H 8 sandcast carbs.
Looks to have been raced at some point judging by the roll bar and SCCA sticker.
Reasonable reserve.
We recently purchased this car from an estate sale not far from us.
As the owner is deceased we don't have any history on the car except that it was stored outside for over 30 years without turning a wheel.
As you can see from the pictures there is some significant rust damage but the availability of new sheet metal parts for these cars is excellent.
The chassis number is S 675158. engine number is F 2380-8 S.
The block matches the data plate but the head does not. bearing the number G 1827-8.
However this is a C-Type head fitted with the 2" SU H 8 carbs so if you have to have a non-matching head this is the one to have.
We have not tried to turn the engine over. as that might cause internal damage.
Engine appears complete and unmolested.
Gearshift lever and linkage is rusted and not operational.
Major missing parts are top frame. windscreen assembly. side curtains. and spare wheel.
Body condition is best judged by the extensive picture album which you can see
Undercar the chassis and running gear appear original.
There is some pretty serious rust damage to the chassis as shown but you can actually buy brand new frames for these cars.
The loose parts pictured (fan. heater. bumper brackets. headlamp rims. etc) all come with the car.
Clear California title in hand.
Buyer to arrange pickup and transport.
