Details:

I purchased this car on e Bay back in May.

I had a 1974 BMW 2002 about 10 years back and I was being super nostalgic.

I purchased it from the car's second owner. he had it since 1982 and was a super great guy.

It had 60. 00 miles on it.

-Since then I have-

-Tinted the windows. mostly to protect the interior.

($200)

-Put on a roof rack.

($80)

-Had a tune up done by a mechanic who knows old german cars. ($150)

-New spark plugs ($40)

-All new gaskets and some new hoses to deal with vacuum leaks. ($300 ish)

- Valve adjustment ($150)

- Clutch master and slave cyl ($300 ish)

- New injectors ($300 ish)

- Done some rust proofing with truck bed liner on the black colored rocker panels.

Not the most elegant solution but it gets a surprising amount of compliments and it worked on my non-galvanized Miata when living in new england.

Car does have a tiny bit of rust around the rear taillights that I tried to touch up and under the front BMW emblem.

- New battery ($130)

-Dash protecting carpet. because this is the only car from the 70 s without a cracked dash.

($60)

-Good tires

-Full original tool kit in the trunk.

-Good brakes

-Good suspension -I drive this everyday.

I'm not even going to add up how much I have spent on this car. because it is depressing.

Known issues:

-Tiny amount of surface rust in a few areas.

-Passenger sun visor doesn't screw into the headliner.

Looks fine. but falls off they try to use it.

-Temp gauge jumps around ever so often.

- Fuel gauge shows at 2/3 rds when full.
