Now here is something you don't see every day. a Bricklin. With only 2800 ever built and less than half in existence today. you are not likely to encounter one of these on your daily commute.

This particular car was purchased locally here in Portland Oregon from Marv Tonkin and driven on a regular basis by the original owner until he passed away. It then sat in his sons garage for a number of years until a neighbor bought the car. The neighbor got the car running. replaced a few needed parts and then drove it for a bit. Being the kind of guy who is always looking for new and interesting things. he decided to have us sell the car for him so he could move on to the next project.

The car is in very good condition overall. with the exterior aging better than the interior. Not that the interior is torn up but the “shag” style carpeting is faded in places and will need to be replaced or re-dyed to really look good. The doors have new air powered cylinders to open and close them. along with a new air pump. The headlight actuators are also new and function as they should. The motor has received a fresh set of spark plug wires. cap. rotor and oil change. It runs great and does not smoke or leave oil on the ground. The transmission shifts properly and neither it nor the rear end are noisy.

Being made of fiberglass the body has no rust and the frame appears rust free as well. Tires have a lot of tread but are older. All the lights are in working order and most everything appears to be functioning. even the 8-track player….

The car is actually quite pleasant to drive and definitely get attention wherever it is driven. It's not what I would call a high performance vehicle. but the ride and power delivery are very smooth. the Bricklin is actually quite comfortable to drive.
