When this car was born. it had no idea what was awaiting it. especially as it only had half an engine! Brief History of this Morgan

This special RPi Morgan V 8. began Life in 1998 as a plus 4 and was later purchased by me with 8 K only on the clock. 8 years ago as a development vehicle to design and test all aspects of upgrades that we were offering and supplying to our many Morgan customers around the World.
I handpicked (chose) this model because of its low use. reasonable cost and my preference for the narrower rear wheel arch body design which in my opinion makes for a nicer looking Morgan V 8 and buying a plus 4 to upgrade to V 8 is far better in real terms than buying a stock V 8 offers at the over inflated plus 8 prices.

After sorting out the Shortfalls of the original T 16 2. 0 engine type. My Morgan was then inhouse V 8 Converted and further upgraded through true life testings eventually leading to our Highest Spec 4. 6 V 8. . giving this car 160 mph top speed. (tested to true 158) and still retaining the ability to drive in city traffic at 15 MPH in 5 th gear.

Because the std car set up was not up to this massive power increase. our attention then focused on other equally important areas. so as well as developing our bespoke stainless steel exhaust systems. we also embarked on many upgrades to the handling and tractability of this unique car. with inclusion of Koni Suspension. Corrected springs. Dayton Wire Wheels. Pirelli Tyres. Full anti tramp rear axle System. BTR LSD Rear axle centralised. Full Harnesses. and our own rollover Bar system.

I had many years enjoying great power from this car. with many track days and even some drag racing and then i decided it would be nice to switch things around. and knowing that Morgan had produced some LPG Morgan plus 8's for export to the USA Due emission compliance

issues. I decided our nextest project for this car was to make it a Green-fuel Morgan with low cost LPG fuel conversion and more usable power than the factory plus 8 and this is where its at. At the start price. 90% completed with the last 10% up to you. Although we have now replaced the 4. 6 engine with a greener 3. 5 engine. and dual fuel LPG all otherwise mentioned upgrades are still included with this Morgan and for sure we can once again upgrade the engine specification for maximum performance if required. indeed whatever vision you have for such a car it would be my pleasure to achieve it for you as this car was/is special to me and the History of all things RPI Engineering.
