1965 TVR 1800S Grantura Coupe for sale

This is a wonderful unique opportunity to repatriate this TVR GRANTURA 1800 S that was exported to New Zealand in 1972.
Anthony Bainbridge used it for club racing. as did the next owner Brent Kugener. The 3 rd NZ owner then spent a considerable amount of money purchasing any new parts from TVR that were still available and undertook a chassis up restoration starting in 1985. Due to other commitments. this was never finished and the car was kept in dry storage until purchased in 2000. In 2010. the restoration work recommenced and was completed only a few months ago to a very high standard. The car has always been in good condition with no accident damage evident to the body or chassis.
It has all its original MGB 1800 running gear and is a very fun car to drive with go-kart type handling and disc brakes. It looks simply stunning in Red with Silver stripes and still retains nearly all its original fittings including the hard to replace seats and original triple laced competition wires. Being built in 1965 car may be FIA eligible and suitable for many International events. This car was recently warranted and registered in New Zealand and should also pass any MOT inspection. This car is for definite sale due to very genuine circumstances and could not be replicated for the money. please only genuine enquiries.
