FORD ESCORT RS 2000 MK 2 1977
DIAMOND WHITE WITH TWIN STRIPE.
Here we have the above which has always been my dream to own and drive since passing my test in the late seventies. I have now completed that dream on my bucket list of things to do and move onto the next after five months. I will now describe as best I can of the work that has been carried by the previous owners with supporting documentation.
Four mini maglite wheels with Yohoma tyres.
Serpi star GR 420 Thatcham cat 1 alarm and immobiliser.
I have had it recently rolling road auto tuned by a local specialist with a new unleaded head gaskets and seals.
Full bilstein suspension with oval strut brace.
Full engine re build with fast road cam with underseal and waxoiled.
Janspeed exhaust.
Two Cibie lamps on the front not connected.
Aero quip brake lines with vented discs. callipers.
Anti tramp kit. world cup cross members with aldon distributor and leads.
Polished aluminium rocker cover with KN filter and alloy catch tank.
Manual switched electric fan.
5 speed sierra box with quick shift gear kit.
Alpine stereo with 6 disc changer with 1 Pr calibre 6 x 9 in the rear and 2 x 10 w amp and 9 inch sub woofer with electric aerial.
Full roll cage fitted.
Minor faults
Clock does not work petrol gauge only goes to half when full. Paint bubble to both doors rear quarter and above rear passenger arch. Re shelled prior to ownership. These faults were listed by the second previous owner to me.
I am the 19 th owner on the log book and I have MOT'S going back to 1995 with photo's to prove mileage.
This Rs has had the stated number of previous owners myself buying it local. The 17 th owner has stated the following resume in his summary of the vehicle.
My RS has 16 previous owners and he naively bought it with no history which he realized after was important. It has been re- shelled at some time and he has the MOT'S to prove the mileage since 1995. In 1997 the mileage is out because the speedo broke so he bought a new one. There is no MOT for 2001-2002 as it was off the road.
In summary I have all the documentation to evidence the above. it is Mot. until may 2014 and taxed until the end of October this year. It is garaged when not in use and only used in this fine summer weather. Viewing is recommended.
