This is a BEAUTIFUL 1973 VW - "Riviera" - Campmobile Bus we have been asked to sell for a friend and as you can see in the pictures it is his pride and joy and in Incredible shape! Careful not to let this 1973. low mile. well cared for. bus get away. They are hard to find in this Beautiful condition! This bus is concert and camp ready and cruises nice. My friend tells me these Buses all have names and this one is “Jane” named after the first owner. he was going to change it to “Sweet Jane” because her name is Jane; she is sweet. even tempered. and is a “Great Song”.  It still retains its ORIGINAL POP Top with a bed in it and the original canvas sides are all in GREAT shape without any cuts or tears. the bug screens on the sides have some holes but that's a pretty easy fix if you want to fix them. I have read that the “Riviera” is the most desirable in the Campmobile and I can see.   This Campmobile was bought new in Boise Idaho and has spent its whole life Garaged in Boise. Idaho. It also still retains its various correctly mounted VW factory data plates and Formica badges also shown in several pictures below. What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! Take a look at the lines on this beauty. what an amazing looking Bus. This BEAUTY is one nice driving rig and is sound and in AWESOME shape. I drove this Transporter for about a week as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove VERY WELL indeed!! It is a NICE - DRY - Idaho Bus for its whole life !! If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look at and drive this Beauty for yourself. You won't be disappointed!! 

 

This Volkswagen Riviera Campmobile has the original 1. 8 Liter type 4 air-cooled - four cylinder motor in it and it is running well! The engine is backed by a smooth four speed transmission / transaxle. The MOSTLY ORIGINAL interior is in NICE condition including NICE ORIGINAL blue bucket seats up front. NICE ORIGINAL Black dash. NICE ORIGINAL Black rubber floor mat up front. NICE ORIGINAL White headliner. NICE ORIGINAL door panels with beautiful Kona Koko Brown Tap handle door pulls (original door pull come with it). NICE ORIGINAL gauge cluster. NICE custom center padded armrest and console with inside storage. a Rolling Rock cooler and wood cup holders front and back built in. NICE ORIGINAL steering wheel. The ORIGINAL rear / Camper part of the interior is also in GREAT condition including a NICE ORIGINAL fold out bed and added rear DVD Player. NICE ORIGINAL table with fold down legs that has been beautifully redone. VERY NICE Original Blue rear seat / bed. NICE ORIGINAL blue upper bed in Pop-top. lots of factory storage areas and closets. sliding side windows with bug screens for ventilation. NICE ORIGINAL Formica wall and roof paneling and Good sliding cloth curtains throughout. Check out the “Distressed Hardwood floor area shown in several pictures below. TO COOL!! This Classic VW is nicely equipped including an awesome Kenwood KDC-X494 Digital AM FM stereo radio / CD player / MP3 player input  / USB / DVD player with front and rear Phillips 9” displays with swivel bases. it has two speakers mounted in doors up front and two Tiki head speakers mounted in back. working turn signals so it is legal in all the states. good heater and defroster. factory rear window defroster. four  110 volt household electrical plug ins. Custom Beverage / Storage cabinet with AC outlet. original day / night rear view mirror. factory seat belts front and rear and factory dual chrome exterior mirrors. Even comes with a custom Kona skimboard camp table. This VW Transporter is a great running and good looking Bus for sure. It drives smooth and straight and does not wonder. I took it out on the freeway several times and it also did very well at normal freeway speeds. WHAT A PLEASURE TO DRIVE! The owner just got back from a 1000Mile trip to Henrys Lake and it ran great. he has too many toys and wants a new so he has to sell one. LUCKY for you!! This Bus has a current Idaho State Park sticker so fly out see Idaho and drive it hame. All of the light lenses and reflectors are still bright. clear and in good condition even the factory rubber weather-stripping is still in good condition. These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive train seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system.

 

This Classic Volkswagen Transporter Riviera Campmobile Bus is a great investment opportunity and it is priced right! It is in good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a clean example of a sought after and hard to find VW collector. If you have been looking but cannot find a sharp Classic VW Camper worthy of your hard earned money look NO further because this is the one! The Tan and White exterior finish on this Bus is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing and is still bright. shiny and looks GREAT as you can clearly see in the picture above and THE 100 ADDITIONAL PICTURES BELOW!! WOW. even the fiberglass top finish is shinny and the Tan and White exterior with the Tiki accent interior could it get any better !! Check out the ORIGINAL Chrome hubcaps with nearly new radial tires boy does this combination look OUTSTANDING on this Bus and really retains that CLEAN ORIGINAL look! This vehicle is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. It is solid with respect to the overall mechanical condition as well as the overall cosmetic impression. I looked underneath and also included photos below. Again this is a NICE - DRY – Garaged Idaho vehicle its whole life !
