1941 PACKARD 110 DELUXE STATION WAGON “UNIQUE. ORIGINAL and INVESTMENT GRADE WOODY WAGON”
Coachwork by Hercules
Chassis no. 1483-2080
Engine no. 2350
The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this 1941 Packard 110 Deluxe Station Wagon. She was just recently featured in the June 2013 Bonhams Greenwich Concours d’Elegance. She is a true Woody showing less 49. 00 (the mileage has been represented to us as correct. but we do not have corroborating evidence). Judging by the quality of the car. it is clear that she underwent a comprehensive restoration. No paperwork exists. but the quality of the car is self evident. The exterior. re-finished 5 years ago. shows extremely well with lots of original exterior wood paneling. The old growth wood shows a patina that can only found in these original woodies. Being acquired by the most recent owner 4 years ago she has been carefully maintained and sparingly used. Cosmetically she is in superb condition. the Beige paint is excellent. with deep shine and luster. Her correct Brown vinyl roof shows as almost new. and all her chrome trim and brightwork is excellent throughout. Her 245ci L-head inline six mated to a single stromberg carburetor produces 100hp at 3. 00rpm. She runs well with good power and torque. The original three-speed synchromesh column shifted manual transmission shifts well. and the clutch engages with authority. The front independent coil spring and rear leaf spring suspension system were both restored. and give a one of a kind driving experience. Originally delivery in New York City she tells a story of hardship and travel. with an original WWII-era gas rationing sticker and registrations attesting to the states that she has been registered. As with the rest of the car. her interior was restored with a theme of originality. Three rows of vinyl covered bench seats show well. and she has seat belts fitted. She has her original gauges wich exhibit a nice patina. One of the best examples on the market today. this car can be enjoyed in both “show” or “go" mode. If you have any additional questions please feel free to call (203) 256-9800 or email steven@classiccargallery. com. Thank you for your interest.
