1965 Ford Mustang for sale
Current customer rating:
It has only Five Hundred Miles on a COMPLETE rebuild of the engine back in August of 2016. and yes. this is the original block. Has 208. 00 miles on the frame.
If you are a Mustang Lover. this true 64 1/2 Ford Mustang is for you. A One of a couple hundred built. and one of only a handful still around ! This 1964 1/2 Mustang was built in California. so a true California car. I bought it from its original owner while still living in Orange County California. Still have and use the original factory Ignition keys. and trunk keys.
Rare Mustang with convertible top. the 289 2 v V 8 engine. and 4 speed manual transmission with 2. 80:1 conventional axle. Factory front bench seat makes this one very rare.
I've owned this car for 35 years. It's NEVER seen rain or snow. and has never been left outside since I've had it. thus NO rust. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition. Everything works as it should. including the electric convertible top. Factory AM Ford radio still in the dash.
It has a 4 speed manual transmission which is flawless. It shifts into every gear including reverse without grinding. and will slide into 1 st during a rolling stop exactly as it did when it was new. Has a new Clutch too.
It does have pencil point size hole worn in the convertible top which can easily be patched for $5. 00
I have completely restored it to as close to Mint condition as you will find. though It's not a true "California Special" model. I had it painted last summer and installed the Mustang Racing stripes. the factory California special decals. and factory California Special emblems to give it a new look. The decals can be removed without hurting the paint since the paint job is fresh.
You can drive this as your daily driver. or bring it to the shows. It's been in "Back To The Bricks" and "The Woodward Dream Cruise" shows every year - A real head turner - Put the top down and feel the wind/sun on your face. You won't be disappointed with this car !
