citroen 2cv AZU 250 van TAX EXEMPT for sale

 CITROEN AZU 250 VAN  TAX EXEMPT

The van was first registered in France in 1970 so now it is TAX EXEMPT
 I bought this in France in 2006 and carried out a total restoration. including converting to right hand drive.
A 602cc engine with electronic ignition replaced the old engine.
All the tyres are new or nearly new.
Please note the small corrugations on the body and bonnet. These are very rare and hard to find.
You will notice motorcycle indicators added to the headlight brackets for safety reasons as they were never fitted to the original front wings as in the more modern 2cv.
MOT expires August 2014
The insurance for me is about £120 per year.
I have many original documents including the original French handbook
Having converted from 6v to 12v the petrol gauge is slightly out of true
Would probably benefit from a professional tuning. although it has never let me down. It is 43 years old after all.   Obviously with the change of engine could not give true mileage.
It is a reluctant sale as it has been my serious hobby for several years. Now we are downsizing to a smaller property there will be no room for the van.
I would appreciate the interest of serious bidders only and would highly recommend a viewing before purchase. We are retired and very flexible about viewing times.

After all those years of love and care taking of the citroen 2cv AZU 250 it must be hard for you putting it on the market. Your Truckette looks just fantastic and I am very interested in it. I would love to buy it for my wife and her French flower boutique in Hong Kong. For sure she would not only take great care of it but use it for what it was build in the first place; the home delivery of pressures items.
Unfortunately the import taxation for classic cars in HK is very high and I wonder if it would be possible to negotiate a price below HK$100,000 (~£9,000) to reduce the local surchase on top ofany other import duties.
Very much appreciate your consideration, apologize for counter offering a different price, but hope to hear back from you.
