Current customer rating:
I've been slowly restoring this beautiful little car.
In 2016 I had it painted and put on a new vinyl top. I was careful to keep the black MG racing strip across the bottom.
I restored the inside window door sash as well.
The interior is mostly original so seats are worn and the dash has a slight split.
I have all the boot pieces for covering the top while its down.
I had new tires put on it in 2013 and they still have less than 300 miles on them.
I kept everything in the car in good working order.
Melvin Automotive has done all the repairs except new muffler installed in 2014.
A new clutch was put installed in 11. new fuel pump in and valves/gasket redone in 08.
New brake rotors and pads in 15. new distributor cap. wires & plugs in 13. In 03 after market dual carbs where added to give it a little extra pep.
Unfortunately. I drove it in January and after a couple of miles the piston broke.
I parked it so damage to the block was avoided.
I now live in an apartment so the car is no longer being kept in a garage.
As part of the restoration process I had planned to rebuild the engine anyway before the piston issue.
But since I no longer have a garage to work out of I won't get the opportunity to do it.
Before the piston issue the car was valued at $7. 00.
I'd like to get $2. 00 for it as is but will take the best offer that meets the minimum.
I'd like to find it a good home.
