Vehicle Description

Only 550 1957 Corvettes were finished in this Cascade Green and beige two-tone paint RPO 440 color combination(8. 68% of total production). It has a Beige soft top with Beige interior. The look from outside is full factory stock. but this rare '57 benefits in the performance department with the substitution of its original 283 engine with a newer-vintage 350 small block engine With a Weber 4-barrel carburetor with sanderson coated shortie headers and 3-speed TH 400 automatic transmission. The original powerglide shifter cover was kept on the car for originality. The brakes have also been upgraded with disc brakes up front for increased stopping power of the 205 75 R 15 White sidewall radial tires. Other comfort features include a Grant 3 spoke Leather wrapped steering wheel and a Pioneer CD player with automatic antenna for listening pleasure. Sales rose to 6. 39. with Onyx Black taking over as best-selling exterior color at 2. 89. Included in that quantity was 1957's favorite two-tone combination. Onyx Black with silver cove. There were 909 of those. The rarest color was Inca Silver (65) and the rarest two-tone was Inca Silver combined with an ivory cove with 319 were Cascade Green with beige coves. Driving a 1957 Corvette. Dr. Dick Thompson and Gaston Audrey won the 12-hour Sebring in March 1957. Corvettes won the SCCA Class B-sports national title (J. E. Rose). and Class B-production Sports (Dr. Thompson). Chevrolet aided amateur and professional racers alike with a factory optional Heavy Duty Racing Suspension. the legendary RPO 684. This had special springs. quick steering adaptor. metallic brake linings. finned brake drums. rear brake air ducting and front brake air scoops (elephant ears). Deposit - The successful high bidder will submit a $1. 00 non-refundable partial payment within 48 hrs of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 5 days of the close of the auction.

All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle .

Payment - Certified Check. ire transfer and Pay-Pal.

Taxes and Registration fees: Out of state buyers are responsible for all state. county. city taxes and fees. as well as title service fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. All taxes and fees must be paid in full in order for vehicle to be titled and registered.
