THIS AUCTION IS FOR A 1967 DAIMLER SOVEREIGN.

1967 Daimler Sovereign sedan. VIN 1A70019DN

Unique two owner saloon with full documentation.

The chassis numbers for all Sovereigns are 1A7001 to 1A70355.   So you can see this is an early model at #19.   The DN in the VIN signifies that it is fitted with a 4-speed manual transmission with electronic overdrive.   The automobile has US version LTT steering.

This automobile was introduced at the London Motor Show of 1966.   Only 5824 Daimler Sovereigns were manufactured between 1966 and 1969 and were considered a more elegant motor car than its Jaguar contempories.

The features of the vehicle are quite advanced for 1967. It has “Marles Vera-matic steering”. an early form of power steering. electric rear window defroster/deicer. AM/FM/SW radio. dual gas tanks and full Lucas instrumentation. The engine is a 4. 2 DOHC straight 6 Jaguar engine with approximately 57. 00 original miles.   The engine condition and extent of restoration needs to be determined.

Good leather seats with normal driver seat wear and the wood dash and trim are beautiful.

All windows and lenses are complete.   Doors open and close tightly.

There are four beautiful spoke wheels mounted on the vehicle along with a fifth. spoked spare. Original tool kit included and documentation also available.

This car has had only two owners.   The first owner was a British executive who shipped the car to Florida for a tour of the East Coast ending in Boston MA. It was then sold to the second/current owner in 1968.   The car was driven to inside storage in 1985 and has not been used since and has had no winterizing.   The car is not running. and is being sold as is and where is.   It can be restored or used for parts and has a clean title.
