1976 AUSTIN ALLEGRO SUPER 1300 – only 21. 44 miles from new!

IN CLASSIC 1970'S COLOUR OF LIME FLOWER GREEN (WHICH LOOKS YELLOW)


Desirable early chrome bumper version of one of the UK's quirkiest cars. Now described as “Cute” with a strong enthusiast following who agree!


Has the iconic 1275cc A-Series engine as shared with Mini's. FWD 4-speed.


This is a very original example with minimal use over the last 18 years: the 1999 MOT (roadworthy) shows it has done 58 miles since the last century! I purchased the car 14 years ago in the UK & privately imported it.


TERRIFIC STATE OF PRESERVATION.


BODYWORK: Very good condition & NOT rusty like most British imports. It has been resprayed once. It has a slight dent in the RF guard & a dent to the leading edge of the bonnet.


INTERIOR: Excellent condition – seats & dash have no cracks. Has never had a radio fitted.


MECHANICAL: Starts & drives fine.


BOOT: Original mat. jack in its bag. even an old-fashioned steering lock.


HISTORY: An elderly lady pensioner for 20 years. I have the original HANDBOOK. SERVICE BOOK. UK registration document. registration discs from the 1980s (when it last had any real use) & a couple of roadworthy certificates (last registered 2002).


SUMMARY:

A great collectable for the British car enthusiast – an iconic car from the UK motoring scene of the 1970s & 80s. Everybody knew someone (father. uncle. friend) who owned one. yet 30+ years later they are almost extinct! With UK freight costing $3000 alone. before import fees & GST. you are buying well below replacement cost. Please note that it will need a NEW BATTERY & the speedo reading is in miles (equates to 34k klms).


At over 30 years of age. registration in any state is straight forward. A copy of the FORS import permit will be provided. It would be an ideal car for club plates.


Please note where it is – Crookwell NSW which is 45 klms west of Goulburn. which in turn is 2 ½ hours south of Sydney. Clearly it is not registered so you will need either a trailer or transporter to collect. Please consider this before bidding.
