The Jaguar XJ (X 308) is an evolution of the outgoing X 300
platform the exterior styling is nearly identical between the two
generations with the major change beingthe introduction of Jaguar's
AJ-V 8 as the only available engine. The top-of-the-range Daimler
marque is also sold as the Vanden Plas model in certain markets and
features softer suspension and all available luxury features.
Cosmetically differentiated by the traditional Daimler fluted
radiator grill surround and fluted boot-lid plinth. the Daimler and
Vanden Plas cars were also available with the supercharged engine
otherwise found only in the XJR - this model wasnamed the Daimler
Super V 8.
This immaculately presented one owner Super V 8 in long wheelbase
guise is offered in metallic blue with unmarked cream leather
interior.
This Daimler has been cared for whatever the cost
and. as such. has a full documented service history and is truly a
credit to the previous owner.
The supercharged V 8 still pulls
today as it did when it left the showroom and is described as a joy
to drive. Offered with the rare and much sought after individual
rear seats which are heated and electrically adjusted. his Super V 8
will waft the new owner to 60 mph in 5 seconds and on to 155 mph
(electronically limited) all in the refinement and luxury
associated with the Daimler Jaguar marque.
