This truck is powered by a Cummins NHC-250 6-cylinder Diesel Engine driven through an Allison automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case. The vehicle was equipped with a personnel heater and power steering.
The odometer reads 0616 miles with 0413 hours of operation.
This mobile machine shop comes equipped with a 20 kw PTO generator. a maximat v 13 metal lathe (including
tool bits and holders). a big air compressor. a grinder. work benches. tables. drawers. and a nice diesel shop heater.
The truck also has a hydraulic side lift system that opens the shop up completely. This is the perfect "go anywhere" machine shop.
The shop area PTO driven generator has 0983 hours on the meter. It has a Curtis-Toledo air compressor. a Cyclomatic Powcon 300 SM.
The truck drives fine. tires are in good shape. the top to the cab was damaged and removed. A
replacement
cap for the truck cab can be purchased on ebay for
approximately
$500 (and
installed
in less than 30 minutes). The drivers windshield has crack in it. Alternatively a surplus soft top could be easily fitted .
We bought this truck for use on our farm but has never been used. hence the reason for it's sale.
The truck has been stored inside for a

On February 22. 2017. Gov Planet sold a 1986 M 944 A 1 - that was in LOUSY condition for $8200. and after
adding the mandatory transaction fee (10%) and sales tax (estimated 5%). this M 944 A 1 cost the buyer approximately $9500. plus transportation costs.
A quick review of that Gov Planet listing for that
M 944 A 1
shows a huge disparity in condition between that vehicle and this one being offered here on Ebay. We are prepared to store the vehicle for any purchaser until it can be moved in Spring time
