For sale - Classic Austin Mini van. This 1963-reg van was fully rebuilt by a company director friend in late 1970 s and privately used/garaged ever since - hence no panel damage to the bodywork. Replacement BLMC factory 'Silver Seal' engine/gearbox fitted at same time (like the earlier Gold Seal) and this is the same unit that is in vehicle today. MOT's back to 1980. Although standard and still on a single carb. it goes exceptionally well for a 1000 cc unit and uses no oil between changes. The gearbox makes much less whine than most Minis. The rear loadbed has been professionally lined and is as new. while all the usual problem areas are free from rust. Note this lovely little van still features the proper stamped-out metal grill and still has original drum brakes - no problem. they work fine. Interior is standard apart from floor carpet (designed for the car) and Cooper-style three-dial dash (so oil pressure and water temp can be checked) and 1960 s leather rim steering wheel. Oil pressure is 75 psi hot and engine doesn't overheat. Currently running on period ten-inch Dunlop alloy wheels and expensive new SP Sport radials. but original steel wheels and hub caps supplied. together with a box full of spares. Nice period A-reg numberplate.

Of course you could buy a wreck for £4 K. then spend £20 K rebuilding it. But this little van is ready to enjoy now.
