1959 Volvo PV 445 Pickup

Back in the late '50 s there were a few companies in Sweden that built these rare PV 445 Pickup trucks in conjunction with Volvo. AB Skab built this one in 1959 and then it was completely restored in 2007. The PV 445 has the same frame as the Volvo station wagon with a custom cab and various bed configurations. This truck has a wooden flat bed that has been beautifully re-constructed from white ash. The bare frame was blasted and repainted with epoxy primer/paint. The cab was professionally rebuilt by hand and then painted in the original Volvo Gun Metal Grey. This truck is powered by an 1800 cc B 18 Volvo engine with a 4-speed M 40 manual transmission. The front suspension has been rebuilt and new u-joints shocks balanced driveshaft and rear suspension components have been added. The interior was fully restored and the original-look red and white vinyl seats dashboard headliner and door panels are all in good condition.
