Just arrived from the dry State of Arizona is this imposing 1961 Imperial Crown. In 1955. Chrysler registered the 'Imperial' name as a separate brand. intended to distance the luxury models within its range from their more ordinary siblings. Thus. although registered as a Chrysler. this car is technically an Imperial. The 1960/61 Imperials were the last cars designed by Virgil Exner. whose flamboyant styling is epitomised by the huge rear fins and four individually-mounted chrome headlights. Despite their huge size and weight. the Imperials of this era were noted for their surefooted handling as much as for their considerable power (355 bhp) and torque(525 lb. ft). courtesy of the 413 cubic inch 'Wedgehead' V 8.

This one rides a little closer to the ground than standard. due to the professional (recent) fitment of lowering blocks. giving it an even more menacing stance. This is a solid example in good running order. which is attractively priced at £7995. 00 'as is'.
