1965 Dodge Monaco Base 7.0L for sale
Current customer rating:
Beautiful 1965 Dodge Monaco that has been transformed into a great handling luxury car with a muscle car attitude. Power comes from a 505 cu in big block wedge built by Dvorak Machine. It has a steel crank. H beam rods. Mahle pistons. hydraulic Comp Cam and breathes through a set of ported and polished 915 closed chamber heads. an Edelbrock RPM intake and Edelbrock 750 CFM carb.
Spark is provided by MSD 6AL ignition and MSD billet distributor. Accessories are driven by March serpentine belt system and cooling is handled by a Mopar radiator with viscous fan. Exhaust runs through a set of TTI headers and pipes and Flowmaster 50 series big block mufflers.
The transmission is a 727 torque flight which drives a 3:23 open rear end.
The suspension was refurbished using Moog bushings. upper and lower ball joints. idler arm and pitman arm. The steering box was overhauled by Firm Feel to police specs and tolerances. The torsion bars were upgraded to 1. 08” and the front sway bar has been replaced with a 1. 25” unit while a 7/8” bar was installed in the rear. KYB gas shocks are on all four corners.
The wheels are Coys 18 x 8 on the front and 18 x 9. 5 on the rear with 245 x 45 and 285 x 40 tires respectively. Braking is accomplished by power assist with 11” discs in front and 11. 25” drums in the rear.
The exterior color is Sport Blue which is a base coat/ clear coat application. The interior was recovered in black and grey vinyl which feels like leather. The doors. floor and roof were covered with hush mat prior to installing new carpet and headliner. The radio is the original AM model and is not connected. however there is a new power antenna.
The chrome is mostly original and in very good condition. The fuel tank is new and carries 24 gallons and the fuel line was upgrade to 3/8” tubing.
It was a three year build and I logged 3. 00 miles since it was completed and it is being sold to support other projects.
