Up for auction is a great piece of Americana. Originally purchased this '77 Scout to restore but have regretfully realized I have too many projects and I will probably never get to it. Found and rescued the jewel in the dry desert of Nevada and purchased from a Police impound. It has been sitting for quite some time.
It does not run
and I have no info on the big 345 motor. I can tell you that it's not seized and will turn. It's coupled to an Auto tranny with the bullet proof Dana Transfer case. The Scout is super solid and the best thing is that it's fully complete and everything is there. It's a great candidate for a nice restoration. It only has minor rust in the lower front fender and rear fender lips. Those replacement panels are readily available from Scoutparts. com and are very inexpensive. The paint is its original white and you can barely see that it had a stripe kit on it from the factory. Some of the great features are: it's an original A/C Scout with disc brakes and power steering. rear slider glass & roof rack. Like I said. it's all there and ready to be trailered to its new home and a new life in your garage. Do your research. the Scout II's are the most popular and most recognizable and are a great investment. Restored. these SUV's can easily pull mid to high 20's.
