Description
1919 HUDSON SUPER SIX
THE MUSCLE CAR OF ITS TIME!!
OBTAINED FROM A MASSIVE WAREHOUSE
COLLECTION!!
The Hudson Corporation started in 1909 just as the automobile reached its first decade in existence. The Hudson Automobile Company manufactured some of the industry's first for the new realm of what was called the Automobile. Some of the firsts were a dashboard gauge system that showed oil pressure and generator amps. It also developed and used a balanced crank shaft so at higher speeds the car would ride smoother instead rattling your teeth. And speaking of higher speed. the engine used in the Super Six was a rare industry 6 cylinder for its time. The best way of to describe this is if you to a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 and put it back in the year 1919. This Hudson was probably considered a muscle car if that even existed back then. If it did. this Hudson was it. Please read on to find out the condition of this rare find.
Exterior:
As you can see from the picture this car presents very well for its age. The body has been restored some time ago and a good wet sand and compound and buff would really make it pop. The wood was all redone and ready for finish. The tires and wheels are in good condition and maybe some TLC on the wheels would make it stand out. This is a great project and wouldn't take much to restore. Also all the glass is in excellent condition. There is some custom pin striping along the body lines. The doors are also suicide doors. Please take a look at all the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.
Interior:
What you see is what you get. The interior is some original and some replaced. Mostly the wood has been replaced. You can see that the pictures will tell the story on the condition of the interior. The gauges are original. the dash is original and the jump seat too. It's almost like you have a blank canvas to make it any color and style you like. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.
Drive-Train:
The drive-train is the massive super six. We did not attempt to start the vehicle. We can tell you in certainty that the motor does spin freely. We can also tell you if we push the car the motor spins as well. Will need a fuel tank.
In summation. if you're looking for a rare car from this era. this would be a great and fun project to complete.
Its all there including the manual to complete restoration.
This is a part of history this car. And restoring would keep that time in history alive.
A time where our innovators of this county had the guts to go against the grain and compete with monsters in the industry.
Thank you for looking and let us know of any questions you may have.
