I advise interested parties to check this out in person.   '71 Crew Cab with a later model front end which was put on before I acquired it during a restoration that the former owner did.   THIS MEANS THE "SHEET METAL" ONLY. there has been nor is now any damage to the suspension.   I noticed it right off before I bought it and could care less.    All of the door gaps are right on.   It is registered as a 1971.   If you have been looking for a clean Crew Cab and don't have the time or funds to buy a project which you may never finish this could be yours but come by and have a look and drive it for yourself.   Yes. it has been for sale for a while and will continue to be until the flakes that have showed up with zero knowledge about old cars are sifted out and a real buyer takes it away.   It is listed on several sites and locally in three counties in So. CA.

 I was told by the former owner that the body had been sandblasted taken down to bare metal for which I have a receipt and epoxy primed then repairs were made all rusted panels professionally repaired before it was painted.     I have pictured all of the receipts since I have owned it and that were given to me from the previous owners thousands of dollars have been spent on this car.   Also pictured are manuals. new and previously installed parts all of which go with the truck.   Not pictured is matching urethane paint that I had mixed.

        The truck doesn't smoke and runs strong.  I was told that it is an 1835cc which was done two owners ago and I believe that to be true as it runs much stronger then the stock 1600cc.   I have done nothing to it mechanically other than keeping it running properly.  

   I have owned this truck about a year and a half and it looked nothing like this when I bought it.  The bed. gates and left quarter panel have all been recently straightened out repainted which took a massive amount of time.   When you look at the floor of the bed you will see several small cracks in the paint.   I spent over a year repairing the bed and gates only to have this happen.   My painter said that this is caused by the filler beneath the paint and that he deals with this from time to time.   The bed is straight and looks very presentable as you can see the new owner can live with it. re-due it. apply bed liner over it or put a rubber mat over it. your choice I have spent hours upon hours getting it to this point.

 I have replaced. seat covers. headliner. door panels. shoulder belts. front and rear mats and coco mats.   Both door glass and vent window have been replaced.   All of the window rubber except the rear have be replaced it has new window felts.   The wheels have been powder painted the baby moons and beauty rims have been added along with the steering wheel. tach and AM/FM radio.   As I am writing this speedo does not work I think it is probably the cable of which I have bought and it will either be installed or go along with the sale.   It has a new gas tank sending unit but the gauge always registers full.   These are two things that I have wanted to get done and may or may not before the sale.

 If you have been looking for a clean Crew Cab this one is worth taking a look at while not perfect it is in great condition for its 42 years a lot of fun and gets attention by those who either remember them or have never seen one before.   California pink slip in hand.
