1963 Mercury S55 Monterey Convertible Very rare car.   There are less than 50 registered in the USA. This car has been in my collection for over 25 years.   I need some room and I'm trying to downsize a little.   The interior is original except for the carpet and driver seat which where both done about 20 years ago.  I have put less than 20. 00 miles on this car in all the time I've owned it.     About 20 years ago I did a partial restoration of the body and engine compartment. The engine was replaced with a remanufactured long block. so the engine is  not original to the car but it is a correct 390 engine and looks original. The body was painted. top replaced.  and the continental kit added at that time. Both the front and rear bumpers where replated at that time too.  The car was rust free except for a small amount of rust in the lower part of the rear quarter panels and after 20 years it is still showing no rust.   The floors are good with no rust or repairs.  I don't drive it very often. but when I do. it always starts right up and drives smooth and straight down the road.   It stops very good for an older car.   T he brakes were all redone a couple of years ago. along with adding a dual master cylinder for extra safety.   Everything on the car works except for the clock.   The AM radio worked but it has a CD player in the trunk.   All the power windows work. the power top works. nbsp;and the power seat work.   The factory AC did work many years ago but has never been charged so would need some work if you need AC. I always drive my old cars with the tops down so I never use AC even if it works.   I would rate this car as way above average but not a strong show car -  meaning that its not perfect but extra nice. If any additional pictures are needed I can take them.

Click one each of these links to see YouTube videos of the windows operating.   I didn't realize until I was finished filming that I did not get the rear driver side window on film.   It does work as well as the others.
