1971 Morris 1000 Traveller ‘Woody' 1098 cc Very Good Condition- In and Out

Welcome to the auction for my 1971 Morris traveler finished in green. with green vinyl trim and carpets. This is a very good example of a Morris traveler. with over £3000 spent on her since 2009.

I will start with giving a description of the exterior which is in very good condition. the paintwork is original. and the woodwork on the back is also very good. As you can see in the photos. 2 parts have recently been replaced. The work completed on the car has mainly been done at Charles Ware's Morris Minor Center Bristol. There are a few bits of paintwork that could be touched up to get her in perfect order. these include the tops of the door arches and also round the rear doors but this is superficial and in my opinion. adds the original patina of the car. All the chrome on the car is also in very good condition. the bumpers and light surrounds are very good.

The interior upholstery is also in good condition. I have just had the driver's seat repaired. and all the others are without rips or tears. The carpets are all there. with no holes or serious damage. The headlining has recently been replaced to the rear section. and the front section is in good condition. There is also a Kenwood stereo in the glove-box.

Mechanically the car drives like new! Starting on the button every time. and with gear changes being smooth as they could be I have not driven a traveler with better handling. All the tires are very good and have plenty of tread. No nasty misfires or anything of the sort. the engine is really as sweet as a nut.

Mileage 96. 14 which is genuine with lots of history (file of receipts and MOT's)

The car is taxed and MOT'd until April 2014 so she is ready to drive away. Really a fantastic example of a Morris Traveller that has not been molested. and carefully kept in original condition.
