classic car scootacar bubble car

I purchased this 1960 Mk 1 Scootacar in 2010 from a local family who had owned it from new but it had been dry stored for a number of years. I carried out some restoration work replacing some parts including piston& rings brake cylinders & pipework tyres and repaint . As I never intended to run the car on the road I therefore never obtained a MOT certificate but as the overall condition is good I don`t see any reason it to fail a MOT inspection.

The only known faults are Slight oil leak from engine chaincase flasher stalk warning light faulty [another light has been fitted to the dashboard] and the neutral gear warning light is inoperative.

After renovation and over the following 2 years I attended some local northern classic car shows where it always caused much interest. For thepast 2 years it has been dry stored but due to ill health I have now to put it for sale.

The car is not pristine but never the less is a fine example of this iconic little car which were built by the Hunslet Engineering Co . in Leeds between the mid 1950`s & 1960`s.

It comes with a purpose adapted trailer fitted with a 12 volt electric winch which allows for one person to load & unload.
