1950 Mercury Traditional Custom.   Car was finished in June of 2014 and has about 500 miles since total frame off build.   I have a clear Virginia title in my name. car is insured with Hagerty

Black glasurit paint with glasurit clear coat. mirror finish and hard to keep clean.   Bone white interior

Car was a full build by Matt Townsend of Townsend Customs in Riverside California.   Do a quick google of Matt and as you can see if work speaks for itself.

Car history:  Mercury was always a California car and was last driven in the early 80's.   Car was stored in a warehouse for over 30 years before I bought it.   About a year into the build I asked Matt to put on 1951 mercury quarters. some think its a 1951 merc with a 50 back glass but it is in fact a 1950 mercury. I have tons of pictures of the build process

Merc was removed from its frame where it was stripped and powder coated black.   Rest of build included:

PS with a F100 steering box

PB with disc up front and drum on rear.

Ford 9 inch that was totally rebuilt with new 3rd member 3. 55 gears too.

New gas tank. fuel lines. brake lines etc

ZZ4 crate 350 complete from carb to pan and included new A/C compressor. I added doug headers and its about 360hp with all the reliability you need. gets about 20 miles per gallon

700R automatic overdrive non computer transmission which was rebuilt

Be Cool aluminum radiator with 2 electric fans

Drop spindles up front and lower blocks in the rear with air shocks. this car drive great down the road. 75 mph she's as smooth as a sled should be.   The stance on this car is perfect

Stock steel 50 merc rims powder coated black with bullets.   Diamondback wide white wall tires

Exhaust it dual to glasspacks and she sounds great.

Chop is about 4. 25 in the front and 5 1/2 in the rear which gives it great lines.   It is a hard top chop and the craftsmanship in the side glass and frame is true artwork. windows roll down smooth and the back side glass slides out. they do not roll down

All new glass. weather-stripping. felts etc

Interior is all white tuck and roll with black carpet. stock steering wheel was restored and steering column with Auto shift. original gauges where restored. calibrated and new facing. they look great and work.   A/C is vintage air and Matt built the custom vents and housing it matches and looks like it could have been a stock feature.   Car even has all the mercury badging inside along with the sill plates. it is a stock looking interior down to the arm rests

All new wiring for the entire car. all stock chrome door handles. bumpers etc where re chromed and a Custom Barris style grill was made by Matt.

Shipping is at the buyers expense.   If you have questions you can call me at 703 342 8795
