Regretfully selling my 1976 Daimler Sovereign Van Dan Plas Series II.

I purchased this car from a friend in January 2008 and i also new the previous owner who had had the car since I believe 1991. I have pretty much all the old MOT's going back to the late 1980's plus some service history original manuals and service books etc . The car is totally reliable and has never let me down it starts 1st Time even when it has been stood for a while as I only use the car in the summer to attend classic car shows plus occasional trips out in the evening or weekends. The car has had 4 new tyres fitted which have covered less than 1000 miles. have also fitted new front brake calipers and replaced front and rear brake pads. It has had a recent service including new oil and filters new spark plugs. ll the drive belts were replaced as were the under bonnet rubber fuel hoses and the HT leads. I have also had the AED (choke unit) rebuilt to as new by Burlen Fuel Systems(I have the receipt) so this is probably one of the few examples of this car where the choke not only comes on as it should but more importantly goes off again once the engine is warm(most do not hence the heavy fuel consumption often experienced). The Air-Con was re-gassed last summer and works well

The car is a pleasure to drive and everything works as it should. t has the original tool kit and spare wheel in the boot.

One other item worth noting is that the car is now 40 years old and therefore now eligible for Tax Exemption which can be applied for as I understand it in April next year.

There are a couple of issues that I must mention however.

I have had the NSR wheelarch replaced but the paint they used is the wrong colour and needs putting right(see photo) Also as is common the headlining above the drivers head has just started to droop and I assume needs glueing back up but I am not sure how to do this so I have left well alone. As you would expect with an unrestored car of this age there a few other marks etc but nothing major to worry about

All in all this is a nice example of what is becoming a rare car(I have not seen another at any show I have been to) It is original specification unmolested and unrestored and is a pleasure to drive so take this opportunity to obtain one of these rare and appreciating classic cars while you can as there are not many left.

I have tried to be as honest as I can but if you want further information/photos etc please contact me and I will do my best

Thank you for looking and Happy Bidding.
