volkswagen type 2 bay baywindow vw camper early 1969 westy westfalia unwelded

Up for sale is this very clean and rust free 1969 early bay westy. This is a very nice example being imported to this country in late 2010 by kieften and kolk who are well known for selling good vw's. It is originally from America and from a bit of research it says it was a barn find over there and it had been stored for years I have no idea if that's true tho. About this van
It's a 1969 early westy 1600 cc 4 speed manual lhd. Van is in very good condition. Body is very straight. All the doors shut as they should and all the gaps are nice. The top half has been painted white bottom looks to be the stock colour. There is no doubt it's had body work over the years there are a few touch ups on it and the rear end has had to repairs and the red is a slightly different colour. There are a few rust bubbles on the body mainly round the Windows.

This van is still a lot better than most you see on the road. I can see no evidence of welding on the van and it looks like it is not going to need any for along time. There are not many unwelded vans around. This van is left hand drive. It's been fitted with what looks like a new engine not a recon it's got a new genuine case and heads it's more than likely a vw engine from Mexico. It's a very clean engine and runs well. I have no paper work for this engine but it must of been fitted in around 2010 as the van came into the country with on engine.

Interior is in nice condition it's been trimmed in the past it looks nice but is not a professional job. Cupboards are all good and working. Pop top has had a new canvas from just campers. Bed folds out has it should. It's got a Sony CD player with vibe door speakers and 6 x 9 s.

Bad points Few rust bubbles nothing major Heater control cables not working but heaters works as do all the directional cables Two spots on the back that are a slightly different colour. Hammock has a ripe in it Windscreen has a crack but this is the original one amazing it's made it this far Some of the locks are worn Needs one new lock this is supplied
I am being honest with the van. If you fixed these it would be almost perfect.

No warranty at all with this 47 year old van. Any inspections welcme
