FOR SALE
An extremely rare Series One Porsche 924 Turbo Carrera GT recreation in impeccable condition.

EQUIPMENT
Integrated polyurethane spoiler. Carrera GT bodykit. removable rigid sunshine roof. halogen lamps. integrated headrests. door pockets. locking glove compartment. folding rear seats. rear roller blind. electric windows. green marking sports gauges. ‘Turbo' door step panels. electric door mirrors. rear window wiper. space-saver spare. Factory fitted options; High pressure headlamp washer system. front screen green shade.

EXTERIOR
Finished in Porsche Grand Prix White 507. (like the prototype Carrera GT/GTS models). this fascinating model gleams brightly. Cosmetically enhanced with a Carrera GT bodykit. all as part of an extensive rebuild. which saw many fittings re-anodised and powder coated. The body kit is not a poorly attached fibreglass kit. instead it includes steel front wings and the correct rear inner wheelarch in-fills for those iconic flared arches. Everything is tight and strong. Detailing even extends to correct GT decals. Clean inner wheel arches. waxoyled chassis and suspension. are reassuring signs of careful maintenance and limited dry weather enjoyment. Minute touched-in stone chips to the lower front bumper and passenger wing are barely noticeable and do not detract from the craftsmanship and care lavished on this car.

INTERIOR
As with the prototype Carrera GTS this example sports the same white pinstripe upholstery in undamaged. spotlessly clean condition. Sinking into the cockpit presents the driver with a wealth of working instrumentation such as an oil-pressure gauge. ammeter and clock with green lettering. as used for the instruments of the Series 1 only for just 2 years. Deep black carpeting. perfect door cards and tight headlining reveal the pampered life this car has enjoyed. A tiny split to the rear headlining along a stitched seam will enable an unseen repair to be made if necessary. Pure Porsche driving pleasure.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 2-litre 924 engine with a Bosch a fuel injection system and 0. 7bar turbo charging produces 170bhp with smoothness and flexibility allowing a sprint to 62mph in 7. 8 seconds. The detailed engine bay features many as new components in appearance and with professional maintenance. (most recently from renown Dave Griffiths Racing Ltd). reliability and enjoyment can be expected. Linked with a 5-speed. dog-leg gearbox with progressive and positive action.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted with the very expensive and much sought after Fuchs lightweight alloy rims (7-inch front / 8-inch rear. as on the 911 Turbo) in excellent. polished condition. These are wrapped in Yokohama Ad Van 225/50 R16 tyres. An unused space-saver spare is retained. Four internally ventilated brake discs with floating calipers inspire repeated confidence.

HISTORY FILE
This example was registered on the 5th March 1980 and is the rarer Series 1 Porsche 924 Turbo model. built 1979-80. (This model continued for only two years. before being supplanted by the series 2 version from 80-84). Purchased from an avid Porsche enthusiast who purchased this example seven years ago due to the convincing and professional build it offers of the first prototypes from Porsche to recreate the very limited 75/406. designated type 938 RHD models ever built!

Enthusiasts can rarely find one of the genuine examples and the £25-45K prices they now command show no signs of cooling. The condition and overall finish should not be assumed to be comparable to other “projects” sometimes available.

Recent service receipts showing cambelt. camshaft oil seal. stainless exhaust. fuel hoses. starter motor. fuel pump. plugs. oil changes. etc. all replaced professionally in the last 24 months by reputable specialists Dave Griffiths Racing Ltd.

MOT June 2014. Tax September 2013. Approved Used Car Check Certificate and HPI clear.
