1968 SUNBEAM ALPINE BLUE Series V, largely restored, needs completing

1968 Sunbeam Alpine series V. nbsp;bought as a restoration project a couple of years ago but have not had the time to finish the job.   Largely restored but needs completing.   The body in very good solid condition. the engine rebuilt and dashboard restored with new parts and looks as new. Paintwork needs to be polished and small blemishes need to be flatted back and polished.  Converted from GT to soft top; original hard top available with the car but not in brilliant condition.   Currently on SORN so no tax or MOT.

Engine is a good starter but needs a good run and tune up.

Has set of alloys but original wheels included.

New brakes including pipes and aeroquip front hoses.

Oil cooler and new pipes.

Radiator refurbished.

Alternator conversion.

Engine completely stripped and rebuilt using many new parts.

New clutch kit and spigot bearing

New UJs.

New handbrake cables and fittings.

New shoes and fitting kit (rear).

New shock absorbers.

New steering and front suspension.

New wiring loom (part).

New alternator.

New steering wheel Moto-lite  (old one included).

New carpets.

New front indicators and headlights.

New front grille bars.

The main jobs that need to be finished are:

Carpets - need finishing.

Door cards - have vinyls but no cards (have templates).

Drivers seat - needs seat foam. new rubber frame fitted and cover is good.

Both seats need to be fitted.

Seat belts required.

Steering wheel - fitted temporarily. needs fixing properly.

Brakes will need bleeding (all new).

Bonnet needs final coat of paint (paint supplied).

Interior needs to be finished off and rear seat area of trim needs sorting out.

Tracking needs to be aligned.

Boot trim needs to be sorted not all there but is readily available.

Boot handle missing.

There are so many new bits on this car I have most probably missed a lot off. the windscreen frame was completely rebuilt and all new rubbers fitted. There are workshop manuals and all paperwork with this car.

The car is not roadworthy and must be picked up on transport. it does drive and the gearbox appears to work well although I have not taken it out on the road. The car will tick over for over 30 minutes on a hot day without any problem. The engine compartment is in very good condition with many new parts fitted and looking shiny. I have spent between £5-£6K on the car to date but due to other commitments I no longer have the time to complete. With this car will come a host of spares. some good. some for pattern but there are a lot of them. this comes as a package. but if not required will be sold afterwards.
