Land Rover Series 1 80" 1951 1600 cc Lights Through The Grille
Original matching number 1600 cc engine. Original Buff style log book present. Complete with it's original Scottish registration number SO 9581.
The vehicle is very original and has a good bulkhead and chassis. The body panels are very straight for such an old example. There are some imperfections in the paint work in places however it adds to the character of the vehicle and reflects it's age well. The vehicle drives well with no engine or transmission issues.
The last owner had the vehicle for 15 years. The vehicle was subject to a body of chassis restoration 12 years ago. The history file notes that the vehicle is believed to have started it's life in Scotland with the AA. There is yellow paint present in places especially around the cappings so although we haven't got any photographs to prove the ex AA use we believe it to be highly likely and will do more research and check the dispatch records.
From the MOT history we can see that the vehicle has covered 2000 miles since 1989 and so has clearly had very little use. Current mileage is 77. 95 miles in 1989 it was 75. 38 miles although we can't prove this to be the genuine mileage it is more than likely to be correct given the vehicles condition. There are also tax discs dating back to December 1973.
This is an ideal vehicle for somebody who is looking for a good usable example.
