ALL ORIGINAL 1933 PLYMOUTH PD COUPE - 30,000 MILES - MUSEUM QUALITY-ONE OWNER for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a beautiful all original 1933 Plymouth coupe.
The car was purchased new by a lady teacher in 1933.
She babied and garaged this car until she became too old to drive it any longer.
I purchased the car about 10 years ago. and have only driven it about 5 miles in the last 10 years.
The car has only been driven 30. 17 actual original miles.
Cars are only original once. and this car is all original.
This car's name is "Pearl". and this is the name of the original owner.
Her driver's license is still in the glove compartment with street maps from 1933.
The Interior: As you can see in the photos. the interior is in beautiful original (and I mean all original) condition.
It has the original floor mats.
The wood grain on the dash and windows is original.
The gauges are like new and all work.
The headliner and seats are original and beautiful.
It even has the original shade on the rear window.
The round circles on the door panels that you see in the photos are leather protection that the lady put on to protect the material under the door handles.
The Body: This is an all original steel body.
There is no rust. and has never needed to be repaired for rust.
The top is in perfect condition.
It has the original running boards.
The doors open and close. and the windows roll up and down like new.
There is no deteriorating wood in the car.
The original welting material that goes between the body and the fenders on the car is all original. and in like new condition.
Underneath the doors and trunk lid the paint is like new.
It has quite a bit of the original paint and pin striping.
It has been touched up here and there over the years.
It has a few worn spots in the paint.
All of the glass is perfect in the car. except that the windshield is getting some hairline cracks due to age.
It has the original hood ornament. with one broken wing.
The trunk area is in excellent condition. with no rust or weak spots. and never had any.
It also has the original jack and tools.
Mechanics: This is also all original. with 30. 17 miles on the drive train.
It always starts and drives.
All of the lights and horn work.
It has a new battery.
It could probably use a tune up or mechanical check up. since I have never really driven this car on the road.
Wheels: This car has the rare $45 option called "Airwheels" (the car cost $450 new).
They are quite unique since they are 100 mph wooden wheels. which must make them the fastest wooden wheels ever made.
They are made of hickory. like baseball bats.
There are 5 of these wheels with the car. and 4 hubcaps.
There is a clear Wisconsin title in my name.
I can keep the car safely in my garage until the buyer has time to make arrangements to pick it up.
You are welcome to come in person to inspect this car.
E-mail me for my phone number. and I will be happy to answer any and all questions you may have.
