1953 Studebaker Starlight Coupe for sale
Current customer rating:
This '53 Studebaker Resto-Mod is possibly the finest example of a Starlight Coupe to be offered for sale in a very long time. maybe ever! This Studebaker has won many. many awards at local and regional shows. including Best Engine. Best Interior. Best in Class. Peoples Choice and Best of Show.
With that said. this car is a driver. not a trailer queen.
It has some minor paint chips that do not photograph but they are there.
This car was featured both as a cover car and feature article car in Turning Wheels Magazine and is quoted as being "One of the nicest Starlight Coupes on the planet".
The overall paint I would put at about a 8. 0 and the chrome and stainless at about 8. 5 on a ten scale.
The glass is great (new windshield) and the rubber is very good.
This car has lived most of its life in the West and is a rust free car.
As the photos show. the engine has lots of chrome and polished aluminum and performs as it should.
When I bought this car I didn't like the way it started. stopped. or steered so I redid everything I didn't like with the top of the line equipment and parts I needed to make the Studebaker safe and drive like as absolute dream and it doesn't disappoint.
I encourage interested buyers to inspect this car from head to toe and I can get rack time so that the underside can be inspected as well.
If a personal inspection is not practical. I encourage interested buyers to have the vehicle independently inspected by an ebay approved inspector.
I have absolutely nothing to hide.
Also. if you have questions I will try to answer those questions either by email or phone.
Please call most anytime MST.
If I am not home. leave a message and I will return your call.
Consider flying in and driving the Studebaker home. weather permitting.
The car can be driven from coast to coast with total confidence in its reliability.
It is that good!
On the deck lid is a pinstriped hawk and the words"Starlight Hawk".
This is not a Hawk but named Starlight Hawk because it is a Starlight Coupe body sitting on a '63 GT Hawk frame with some GT Hawk running gear. and GT Hawk dash and gauges.
