Honda Vtec Engined Mini For Sale

I have owned the car for over 10 years and only covered 6. 00 miles. it is serviced every year no matter how many miles were driven.

1979 car. it has the 1600 cc engine on the log book so it is all legal.

Very distinctive number plate XTC 444 V. /

The car was originally a round nose but I had to fit a clubman front end for the conversion. it is a one piece flip front with hinges from minitec with gas bonnet struts. it is also removable.

B 16 A 2 engine from a 1999 civic vti. /

Dta engine management with coilpack conversion for adjustable timing. /

Vtec engages at 4. 00 rpm which is 1000 rpm lower than standard and revs to 8. 50 rpm.

Alloy racing radiator with very efficient cooling. /

Integra type-r manifold with a 2. 5” outlet. /

2. 5” – 2. 25” centre section going to 2 x 2” upswept straight tail pipes. /

Adjustable suspension all round. /

CBR 1000 RR 42 mm motorbike throttle bodies on a Bogg Brothers manifold which sounds AWESOME!. /

Watsons subframe

- conversion kit. /

Spoon Clutch kit. /

Spoon titanium Gear knob and modified gear linkage. /

Integra type-r S 80 gearbox with LSD. /

187 bhp rolling road tuned with dyno print out. /

Bucket Seats with mini subframes. /

Very nice 3” Harnesses (4 point). /

Safety devices full roll cage with door bars and powder coated white. /

Digidash Digital dash with oil pressure. oil temp. water temp. charging rate. mileage. rpm. shift lights.

Custom wiring loom for the whole car- it was totally rewired when it was put on the road. /

Metro Gti calipers. with Group 4 spec vented disks and pads. /

Mgf Ball joints which give more camber and castor. /

Ultralight wheels with new AO 32 sticky tyres. /

Custom central fuel tank with Vauxhall high pressure fuel pump. /

Rear arches have been tubbed so the car can be lowered without scrubbing. /

Fibreglass Doors. Roof and Bootlid. /

Polycarbonate Windows with sliders on the front two windows. rear ones are scratched. /

Heated front screen. /

F 1 mirrors. /

Brake bias adjuster for rear brakes. The car has been sprayed white inside for motorsport use. it is totally stripped out and without a heater. The outside is sprayed in Vauxhall Arden Blue. it is a very nice blue/purple pearl which is the same colour as a lot of gsi and vxr astras/zafiras. it also has a silver roof and mirrors to break up the colour scheme. It had an inside and out spray job about 10 years ago and it has the usual signs of something that has actually been driven (stone chips on rear arches from front wheels flicking them up). I did everything before it was put on the road. it has had the brakes done. bushes. ball joints. new bolts. tracking etc.

The car weighs 700 kgs with me in it so power to weight is:

267. 1 bhp/per ton!

To put that into perspective you would need a 375 bhp evo 8 weighing 1400 kgs just to have the same power to weight ratio.

The car has been rolling road tuned to 187 bhp. the standard engine is 160 bhp (when new). I had it corner weighted a few years ago professionally by Harris Motorsport (Steve Harris) and it is in a very good shape for motorsport use. he is very well known for tuning minis in the south for motorsport. The car has an Mot until the 30 th of November and is completely road legal. I did most of the conversion work myself and have spent an absolute fortune on the car in the last 14 years of ownership (over £20 k). I am looking to buy a mk 2 escort so I can start rallying. so if you have one and are interested in doing a deal please let me know. The car is in very good condition throughout. the inside of the car is not concourse as it was never meant to be. It is a real head turner due to its stance and sound. you wont have heard a car as raspy and as good as this one – that I am sure!

I will need a 10% deposit within 24 hours to prove you are a serious buyer. no tyre kickers or test pilots. The car is advertised elsewhere so it will be removed if sold from another source.

Thanks for loooking.
