This 1976 BMW 2002 has undergone a bare metal restoration about 8 years ago and has been meticulously maintained with very little mileage since then. It features functioning A/C. and a 5-speed conversion to make it highway friendly. The paint is in excellent condition and is always the subject of admiring comments. It raises the body. trunk. and engine bay to a high level of quality. The gas tank has even been painted and clear-coated. The bumpers have been painted. clear-coated. and pulled into the body for a more european look. The wheels are steelies with trim rings. and the tires have a few thousand miles on them since new. This machine has won people's choice award at two different shows. Underneath is also nice with no issues there either.
The interior is in original black and features coco mats. The engine is stock 2 liter. which runs and drives well. The vehicle recently completed a 1500 mile round trip to an event. and performed flawlessly as it always does.
