One of a kind buggy for sale due to having a child on the way. Truly amazing car! V5 is present and it's a 1971 tax free and is registered as a 'Historic VW Convertible'. Price was £6k. now reduced to £5k for a quick sale.

This engine is right on the button. having been set-up and balanced on a rolling road. the tin-work is German and fitted with an original thermostat system. and had an alternator fitted. It's not even been properly run in yet since it's rebuild and is worth a fair bit by itself.

Genuine Berrian Nostalgia chassis LHD -  was imported from the USA for the build. This chassis is not to be confused with the standard thin floors of a type 1 pan. this is a very strong unit with a floor that will NEVER rust
Genuine Centerlines all round - could do with a polish with some Brasso
New BJ beam. shocks. discs calipers. DC master cylinder. all new brake pipes
Type 3 rear drums
Adjustable shift rod
IRS type 3 set up with double spring plates and a VERY low mileage type 3 trans
Raised spindles
Tyres are all great - could do with some sealing paste around the rims
Fibreglass buggy seats with 4pt harnesses

Last bit is the body which is the last body made by Mel Hubbard. its been layed up using a combination of CSM and woven cloth. but with a few unique features. It's got a removeable hard top. with stainless steel hinged rear window. and a 14 inch screen. Spare paint will also be included

It is tax free and has just passed it's latest MOT. The speedo cable has just been replaced by 'speedy cables'. I've also got an oil temp and rev gauge i was going to fit that is included. Hopefully have the rev gauge fitted this weekend.

It was made to look like a buggy built by soldiers with donated parts in vietnam that appeared in an old vw magazine. I have the magazine from 1967.
Its currently got an agreed insurance value of £8000 that costs me £140 a year so that gives you some idea of the value of this car. The car is in excellent condition - it's not a pristine show car but could easily be made into one with VERY little expense. The engine is exceptional! Located in the New Forest.
