Here is a super rare 1942 Packard Henney "Metropolitan" Army ambulance. This example was based in the war at The Presidio in San Francisco. Most of the car based ambulances didn't come over to the European theatre and were mainly in the US. However. six Packard ambulances were donated to the London Ambulance Brigade and were used in the Blitz.
This is a restoration project so you can take it any way you like. There is no rust in the body and the 288 cu in straight eight engine has been rebuilt and starts right up. The floorboards have been replaced. and new hood scoops (only on the commercial versions) were made. The brakes will need attention. although the master cylinder has been re-sleeved. The only major body work that will need to replaced are the inner wings which aren't there. A lot of trim parts including running boards come with the car. There are several companies supplying NOS and new Packard parts the States. like instruments.
A unique opportunity to restore a rare and usable classic.
The Packard is on it's way from California and will be here in about six weeks. All import taxes will be paid. 25% deposit secures.
