Here is a Morris Minor Traveller in Snowberry White. She was purchased from Charles Ware's Morris Minor Centre back in 1999. She had just been restored and new wood fitted. She had covered 64. 02 miles at the time and was purchased as a kind of "family pet" classic. Since that date. she has spent practically every day of her life in a dry garage. emerging for the occasional run out as well as her annual MoT. This morning - 17 years later - her speedo rolled onto the 66. 00 mark. So. there we have it. Since restoration. she has covered 1. 00 miles. Quite amazing really! Let me start with what I always consider to be the most important factor with Travellers. the woodwork. Now. this woodwork was brand new at the point of sale and. having owned many Travellers. I think I can state quite categorically that this timber has never had rain or moisture anywhere near it. Where you see some grey areas in my photos. they are exactly that. Varnish has come away and underneath is the most ROCK SOLID Ash timber. Some joints were also treated to a dab or two of protective coating. That was a kind of black waterproofing substance and - in most cases - I have now removed it with a soft sponge sanding block. Again. total 100 per cent Ash framework. There is not a hint of softness or rot anywhere in this car's woodwork. Improve said areas on a weekend if you feel the need. and increase the value of this Traveller in the meantime. The bodywork is perfectly acceptable. save for a few typical Minor bits such as the odd scar to the door bottoms and a little blebbing to the paint on the bonnet. The same black protective covering which was applied to the joints (and preserved them perfectly by the way) has been applied to one spot on the bonnet top The interior is tidy with a couple of bits of black tape covering some minor damage to the base of the driver's seat. Engine bay is tidy and she is really neat and tidy underneath. I have described her exactly as I see her and have gone to great pains to point out "minor" bits and pieces that many sellers would simply not mention. She was fresh from a professional restoration 17 years ago. has been cherished ever since and covered just 1. 00 miles. I repeat that the wood is excellent and that I have explained about the small areas in question. There is no rot or softness to this wood. It could look immaculate with a weekend's work. I accept all major debit/credit cards and a ten per cent deposit is required at the point of sale with the balance due within three days. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks. Martin (07595-020282).
