1985 Bedford CF2 Dormobile Debonair Camper Van Mot August 2017

Here for sale as a classified avert. not an auction. is my 1985 Bedford CF 2 Dormobile Debonair 2 Berth Motor Home
The CF has an Mot through to August 2017
It has the 2. 0 Opel CIH engine with 5 Speed Manual Gearbox with Overdrive Fifth Gear
All you Dormobile experts out there will know that Dormobile did not offer the Debonair conversion in 1985 and this is a 1973 conversion that has been professionaly fitted to the 1985 CF 2 chassis cab. the CF 1 that the body was originally fitted to had terminal rot apparently so this is a unique vehicle.
As you can see from the pictures the camper is in good all round condition. The camper section is fibreglass so no rust or rot issues to worry about. the cab is in good order but does have some very minor rust here and there. the chassis and underside is very sound.
Mechanically the van is in good order. It had been unused for several years before I bought it last November and I have recomissioned it and fitted many new parts including. New Radiator
New Weber Carburettor
Reconditioned Alternator
New 3 Piece Clutch All New Tyres
New Rear Brake Cylinders and Shoes
New Fuel Pump New Rear Window Rubbers New Front Disc Brake Caliper Seals
New Battery
Full engine service. The van has only covered about 200 miles since all this was done The CF drives along very well and having the 5 speed gearbox gives it a cruising speed of 60 mph so it keeps up with modern traffic easily.
It is older technology so needs the choke for cold starting and it does not have power steering. Being the CF 2 the camper benefits from having the 5 speed manual gearbox and front disc brakes.
The interior is in good condition but does still need some improvement in certain areas. The rear seat fabric is very worn and needs renewing. it hasn`t stopped us using it though! and there is some water damage to the side panel under one of the windows that had leaked before the rubbers were replaced. The van has a good spec to it which includes Cassette Toilet
