Bedford 1948 Model "O " I purchased the Truck from a up the other side of Swan Hill. as you may see in the picture the body was just in amazing condition with no rust and in complete condition. After getting it home it was taken apart down to just only the bere Chassie. sand blasted and painted.
All the Shackles all round . Centre Bolts all replaced. The Front End sand blasted and painted. new parts put back on. The Steering box had new bearings and bushes and painted. Petrol Tank repaired . painted and mounted with a good working Sender unit. The motor was completely reconditioned by M&W in Ballarat . the cost was just on $6. 00. Have had the motor running. new Clutch. and Exhaust fitted. New motor and Transmission Mounts. Wheel Bearing done. The gear Bok and Diff all checked and painted. The complete Brake systum was all done by A. C. W Trucks in Ferntree Gully even the Servo every thing done. new lines . hoses every thing at a cost of over $4. 00 Rims have been sand blasted and painted with 2 new Tyres fitted to the front. A set of as new dash Gauges are there to be installed.
The Body has been Sand Blasted and is in primed ready for paint.
A full complete Tray all new wood and steel was made and fitted up to the Chassie . the steel is painted and some timbers are stained. a new Hurdle also made and fitted. The Steering Wheel has been repaired . The truck has good glass
The Chrome bars on the grill have been repaired and chromed. has a very good Radiator. There are many more items I have done but Iam sure by now you can see this is a proper build. There is a complete spare Diff assembly . Gear Box and Motor to go with the sale. All the hard work has been done and the expence . I have spent to date $18. 00. 00 and more on buying the truck and all the money spent. God knows how many Hours spent Hundreds and Hundreds. I am moving house and cant take the Truck with me. as a result I will let it go for $8. 00. Who ever buy this Truck will get a hell of a buy saving a massive amount of time and Thousands of Dollars.
