Offered for sale. from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS. is this very nice Jaguar for straightforward restoration. currently fitted with a Datsun 280 ZX engine. but also provided with a correct Series 2 E-type drivetrain (engine and gearbox). This car was purchased in Northern California and is believed to have been here for all of it's life.

The body on this car is very solid and good for it's age. The body is very straight with good panel gaps. The original floors look excellent with only a few repairs needed up front. Perfect boot floor. There is a small rust line on the LH outer rocker under the battery area. typical. The framerails are very nice and in no way were affected by the previous conversion. Some sheetmetal repair is needed around the transmission tunnel (picture).

The seats have been recently retrimmed and are in nice shape. and most all of the existing interior is the original. There is an excellent original spare tire. The car is fitted with 4 new tires. and the original wire wheels are very attractive and have cleaned up well. Some of the original factory chrome has cleaned up very well.

The S-2 Jaguar engine has been sitting for years and is currently stuck. It requires a rebuild. The drivetrain can be shipped on an extra pallet / rolling dolly. There is a box of some extra related original drivetrain parts.

Overall. a desirable early Series Two E-type Coupe in fantastic. seldom-seen original colors. This California car has an excellent body with nice factory options and is economically priced for those looking for entry into the E-type market.
