Talbot Sunbeam for sale

Here we have my Talbot Sunbeam Trio Lookalike. The car is registered as a 1. 0L. so cheap tax and insurance.

The car was restored this time last year by myself. with 17 years of spraying and restoring experience.

I used 99. 9% rust free sunbeam. The only welding it needed was some patching in the boot floor and o/s lower rear arch.

All the other panels were solid and just had minor dents and surface rust.

The shell was treated to anti rust primmer and the re-sprayed in the correct Chrysler/Talbot Moonstone Blue. The seats have also been re-trimmed in the correct Piccadilly trim.

I used Subaru front seats instead of the nasty flat originals.

The car was re-built using a fully rebuilt 1. 6ti engine with Kent fast road cam. new dizzy plus leads. Electric petrol pump. 3 core radiator. front and rear bilstein gas shocks with roller top mounts. uprated front and rear arms and cross member. fully poly bushed front and rear. half roll cage. Lemax plate type LSD in a 4. 4 Axle. 4 speed box.

Sony CD player with AUX and 80's electric Ariel.

The car comes with Avenger 40 DOCE's 34/35's. These have been fully restored and set up for this engine.

I only put the 175 carb on to save a bit of fuel when I go to shows or shopping. The 175 carb has never been set up with this engine and does need 5 minutes spending in it.

The brakes are brand new lotus sunbeam callipers with mintex pads on solid discs. the master cylinder is an updated 25mm instead of the standard 19mm.

The bumpers are glass fibre and the rear tailgate has been replaced with polycarbonate.

The shell is an original none sunroof model.

It has 4 months tax and 12 months MOT.

BAD POINTS

The rear Axle/LSD whines and clunks a little when turning but works as it should. sideways and donuts etc.

 

I am selling this sunbeam as I am an avenger man at heart and I need to finish my avenger project.
