Current customer rating:
This rover is a Bugeye. It was produced for a little over one year and the number of registered survivors is under 100 trucks.
This is a great vehicle. and even though it is technically a collector's dream I've driven it about 750 miles in the last year including the beach where we were able to take it off road in the sand like the old days when these were first being developed.
It was restored and owned by a Rovers North employee and no expense was spared with over $15 k in parts including a galvanized frame. a front mounted winch. and a new canvas top with galvanized top frame.
Also has brush guard. two fold down rear back seats. removable windows (currently out of the truck for summer). repair manuals and a nice whole vehicle car cover.
I'm a british enthusiast and take good care of my vehicles. stored in a dry car barn and recently put a new fuel pump. coil and coolant hose on her.
I got caught twice in the rain. but made sure to dry it out before putting it away.
There are a few spots of surface rust on places like the door hinges but really a solid vehicle all the usual spots are in restored condition still.
There are some dings in the panels that the Rovers North guy kept in place and painted over.
The paint job is nice from 5 feet and still in great condition. it is not a pebble beach finish but more of a Rubicon gem.
I'm sad to depart with this one. but I'm trading up and making room for another even rarer vehicle.
