VW Volkswagen Split Bus 1967 Double Crew Cab not Porsche 356

The VW Crew cab in my opinion is the most versatile Type 2 Volkswagens that someone can own. With the iconic styling of the split screen windshield and the ability to use it as a functional hauler it gives you the best of both worlds. The inside can seat five comfortably or in a pinch you can put another person up front.  

 As we look around this retro mobile you will see that it sports a nice hue of green/blue that was done back when the bus was update around 1992. the color comes from a Ford Thunderbird. The paint was "show quality" back in the early 90's when it was done. but wouldn't pass the high quality standards today. however this bus does attract a lot of attention every where we drive it. I would call it a very good daily driver paint job.   This is an original calfornia bus and comes to us from the son of the original owner. the son was the one who upgraded the bus back in the 90's. There is no rust on this bus other than the battery tray that we have been able to find. if you've looked at any buses. crew cabs. single cabs you will know what an amazing find this is based on that fact alone. There is some body filler in the back corners on the bus. not sure what happened there as we unable to confirm the damage with the previous owners. but I'd rather tell you too much about the bus than not enough.

 For running gear the bus has a nice 1776 dual port motor  built for reliablity. The motor was done here in Sacramento by a very reputable shop back in 2004 "Der Wagen Shop". it had 24. 00 miles before the bus was put into storage back in 2008 due to a faulty fuel pump. It comes with a mild 110 cam and dual 40 carbs for a little extra something when you need it most. The bus still retains the rest of the stock running gear incase you are looking to change it back to the original configuration that it lef the factory with. We recently went through and replaced all of the fuel lines. so that the next owner can enjoy their bus right from the start without having to do any additional maintance right away. Since this is a 67. the bus is all 12 Volt right from the factory!

To make the inside as inviting as the outside with a nice grey tweed interior complimented by the original VW rubber floor mats. Inside the bus we also have a high quality aftermarket stereo system mounted under the dash. The cab boast 6 speakers. a DVD Player and Navigation This allows a enjoyable ride for long trips out of town. Volkswagen shows. or the quick trip to the market.
