The Morris Ital was launched in 1980 and was a re-design of the Marina. It was revised in 1982. SL and SLX models replaced the HL and HLS variants and these last of the line cars were given more modern front suspension. They were by far the most refined of the Marina cars. The Ital was also the last production car to wear the Morris badge. Production finished in February 1984.
This car is one of the last registered December 1983. It has covered a correct 24000 miles from new and in 2011 it was treated to a £7000 + VAT professional body restoration including various new panels and a bare shell re-paint. The trim and mechanics were good enough at this mileage to need little attention. On the road this low mileage Ital runs and drives exactly as you would expect.
This Ital is clearly one of the very best Ital/Marina cars left. is great fun to drive and a true practical classic – rare. interesting and certain to be popular on the show circuit this summer. Ready to use
