1983 Ferrari 512bbi VIN ZFFJA09B000049097

--Silver with Black Boxer trim. Black leather interior with Grey cloth inserts (Zegna Edition). 21. 00 Kilometers since complete restoration by Autosport Designs. Inc.

This Boxer was restored in the late 1990's by Autosport Designs. Inc. when the car had only 10. 00 original miles. Everything was restored to as new or better condition at the time. photographic history and receipts are included in its history file. During the restoration. the car was converted back to European specifications since the car was federalized when it first arrived in the US. Since restoration. it remainded in NY with continued servicing by Autosport Designs. Inc. until being sold in the mid-2000's to an enthusiast-collector owner in California where it has remained until only recently. While in the last owners care. this Boxer was serviced when and where needed and looked after by well-known Ferrari specialists including Patrick Ottis and thus remained in superb condition throughout.

Cosmetically the car is in very fine high-end driver's condition. The paint was done to a very high standard but a few blemishes have appeared over time. The panels fit well and the glass and lamps are in excellent condition. The interior is predominantly original and is well-preserved. Other than part of the driver's seat. which was redone. the leather is original with light patina. The Zegna-supplied cloth inserts and headliner are in good shape except for some wear on the driver's seat (pictured).

The engine and front compartments are in tidy condition and appear as they should. One heat shield on the rear shell has deteriorated. The car has a MSD ignition and Tubi exhaust. There are no books/tools.

While the car was previously registered in California it is not clear whether it is certified and seller cannot guarantee it can be sold in that state.

I bought the car earlier this year. Unfortunately. we've purchased a house and needs are quickly piling up. The car has been inspected by both Autosport Designs and Ferrari Maserati of Long Island and summaries are available upon request. The car had its last major service in June 2008 and the primary finding of both inspections was that a major service was due.
