1971 Plymouth Road Runner

1971 Plymouth Roadrunner. 440 six barrel. all numbers matching. 4 speed. dana track pack. hemi orange with black bench interior. power disk brakes. Just finished a high level restoration built per the fender tag. no build sheet was found. Have lots of pictures of the restoration. fully documented and a binder of receipts. This car was built in St. Louis for the Canadian market. I have owner history going back to the original dealer sale.

The car was completely taken apart and over a period of nine years was meticulously restored . The body was stripped chemically . metal work was performed and then PPG Epoxy was sprayed. followed by primer and PPG Dextron base /clear. The underside was epoxied. primered and the final coat is single stage PPG in the proper Mopar Dip Grey . Overspray in Hemi Orange was then applied to simulate the way the factory painted it.

Interior has new headliner. carpet and seat covers. The original dash pad is mint. An NOS dash emblem was found and installed. Upper door panels are mint originals. Dash was taken apart and the frame powdercoated a textured black in the proper sheen like the original. Gauges were serviced and are all functional.

Numbers matching engine. transmission and Dana rear end were completely rebuilt to stock specs. I have included a picture of all the areas where the serial number is stamped. The set of Holley six pack carbs were also rebuilt and re-plated. Electronic ignition was installed in the dual point distributor. I have the parts to go back to dual point if desired.

Re-chromed bumpers. NOS Roadrnner head on grille. NOS Plymouth emblem. all stainless steel trim was polished. NOS wheel centers and trim rings. Reproduction bias ply tires in original size. New steel brake lines. fuel lines and gas tank. New side marker lights and door handles. All latches re plated in the proper finish. New weather stripping. New front glass . side and rear glass are originals.
