These very rapid 1930 s Railtons were the fastest saloon cars around pre war. They were used by the Police in England. Simple Straight 8 cylinder engines of 4200 cc were capable of giving 0 to 50 mph times in under 8 seconds . Excellent hydraulic brakes . 3 speed gearbox. If fact once on the move. you really seldom have to change gear there is so much torque. This car is in superb overall condition. It has over the last three years had a complete engine and gearbox rebuild . New white metal engine bearings.
